Don’t worry you’re in the right place!

While our name has changed what we do hasn’t. Our new name will bring together all the ways in which we help charities, making it easier for charities to find and access all the different services they need, from donated software to digital advice to recruitment.

Charity Digital Mail is a programme run by the UK-registered charity, Charity Digital in partnership with Dotdigital. It gives charitable organisations discounted access to dotdigital’s enterprise-level platform while also providing support to help good causes get the most out of the emails they send.

Charity Digital’s mission is to empower good causes to achieve more with tech. To date, we have helped more than 30,000 other UK charities increase their impact with digital technology, helping them to save £180 million on software procurement while also processing £300 million of income for charities.

As well as Charity Digital Mail, we run the UK’s only software donation programme (Charity Digital Exchange), a charity-specific news portal (Charity Digital News) and provide a range of financial services and free guidance and support for the charity sector.

Our history

Charity Digital has recently re-branded and was originally called CTT.  Established in 2001 by individuals in the charity, business and technology sectors who wanted to use their expertise to benefit UK charities.

Initially grant funded, we have become entirely self-sufficient, with income coming from trading activities. To achieve this, we’ve continually evolved our processes and services and have partnered with numerous organisations to offer solutions that provide the maximum impact to charities and their good causes at the lowest possible cost.

Over the years we’ve grown incredibly in terms of the number of charities we help and the positive impact we provide to the sector.

In the past three years alone, we’ve begun processing all UK requests for Office 365 for Nonprofits and Google for Nonprofits, providing free guidance through Grow Your Charity Online, Tech4Good Days and the Charity IT Association (CITA) and giving tech discounts to larger charities through our software programme.

We also run an independent news portal with 22,000 subscribers called Charity Digital News now and have a trading subsidiary called CTT CP, which processes millions of financial transactions for charities.
